Advantage essence: Vacuum ceramic filter disc are composed of uniform micro-porous ceramic materials (such as alumina, silicon carbide), and the micro-pore diameters are controllable (commonly 1.5μm, 2μm, 5μm, etc.).
Specific manifestations
The filter cake is drier: It can form a denser filter cake with a lower porosity, and the moisture content of the filter cake is usually 5% to 15% lower than that of traditional filter cloth filters. For instance, the moisture content of iron ore tailings filter cakes can reach 10% to 15%, and that of copper ore tailings can reach 12% to 18%.
The filtrate is clear: The micropores can effectively intercept ultrafine particles, making the filtrate extremely clear (with low turbidity), and the solid content is usually less than 5 ppm (mg/L). It can be directly reused as process water in the beneficiation plant, significantly reducing the consumption of fresh water and the cost of wastewater treatment.
No penetration and turbidity: Under the appropriate selection of pore size, the phenomenon of fine particles penetrating almost never occurs, ensuring stable filtration quality.

Advantage essence: Utilizing the principle of capillary action, it does not require continuous high vacuum suction.

The power consumption of the vacuum pump is extremely low: a high vacuum degree is only required when the initial filter cake layer is formed. Once the filter cake is formed, only a low vacuum degree needs to be maintained (capillary water suction), and the power of the vacuum pump is only 10%-30% of that of traditional vacuum filters.
No compressed air consumption: Unlike some filter presses, it does not require high-pressure air to dry the filter cake.
The comprehensive energy consumption has been significantly reduced: It is recognized as one of the most energy-efficient solid-liquid separation devices.
